Day 11

November 9, 2021

Our first stop today, of course, was for coffee.  Andy found the Journey Coffee House just west of Tyler, TX.  Really good coffee.  Not quite as good as Sticks Coffee in Mariposa, CA, but the second best coffee we've had on the trip.

After a long day of driving, we decided to stop for supper at the Abita Brew Pub in Abita Springs, LA.

As soon as we went in, I felt at home.  They had one of my favorite sayings just as you walk in:  "I cook with wine, sometimes I even add it to the food".

All the beers, of course, came from the Abita Brewing Company.  We each had a flight, and we both thought their Office Party was the best.  It's a chocolate infused stout.  It's a limited release brew, and so it will only be available through December.

When we got home and unloaded the car, we counted 22 bottles of beer, 72 bottles of wine, and 6 bottles of Scotch we acquired on the trip.  That doesn't count the 4 beers and 2 bottles of wine we consumed along the way.  The wine cellar grew.  Hiccough!

The trip has been great.  We've been able to see many things for the first time.  God's creation is truly wonderful to behold.
