This is the inside of the front wall of the shop.

Here's the inside of the area of the shop that will be under the front porch.

Here's the southeast corner of the same area of the shop.

This view is from the garage looking toward the shop. Notice the large gap and small gap. That's where the overhead (or "garage") door in the shop and where the swing door in the shop to the east side of the house go.

Here's the same view from outside. This is the overhead door and the regular door into the shop on the east side of the house.

This is the front of the shop under the library. Notice the gaps for the swing vents to allow water flow in case of flood. Those vents are required by Ocean Springs city code because the elevation of the shop is below 11 feet.

This is another view of the front of the shop as one of the masons trims off the excess mortar.

An outside view of the section of the shop that's under the front porch.

All the blocks are piled near where they'll be needed for the rest of the walls. Carrying the blocks is a huge part of the work.

The head mason, Wayne Champagne, sets one of the angle blocks in the rear of the shop (northeast corner).
