The portion of the shop under the front porch now has twelve foot walls! That's how high the front porch will be.

This is taken from the garage looking toward the shop. The east wall of the shop is now also twelve feet high. Notice the large opening for an overhead door and the smaller opening for a regular walk through door.

This is the opening to the part of the shop under the front porch. Notice the pieces of metal sticking out from the wall above the columns—they will tie into the rest of the column for extra strength.

I'm up on the scaffolding taking this picture. It approximates how the sunset will look from the back porch.

Here's a birdseye view of the area of the shop under the front porch.

Here's the top of the east shop wall. Notice the different kind of block in the top course. That's so rebar can be laid horizontally making the top of the wall tie together and adding extra strength.

The downstairs bathroom as seen from the scafolding.

Walls start to go up higher on the garage side of the house, too.

Here's the east side of the shop as seen from the outside.

Here's the front of the shop. The portion to the left is going to be underneath the front porch.
