Outside Kimberly Andrews' House After The Storm

The storm surge smashed in Kimberly's garage door and blew away part of the fence.

The lumber that I had stored in her garage is all askew. You can see through the blown out wall where the water rushed into her living room. Her ruined car is to the right, very difficult to photograph until some debris is removed.

The lumber on the other side of the garage is also askew, and the hot water heater appears to have been washed out from the master bath.

The fence is down. The house was submerged up to the ceiling. The air conditioner, along with everything else, will have to be replaced.

Remnants of the back fence.

More fence damage.

All of these windows were boarded up until the storm surge washed some of the boards away. None of the windows look damaged, anyway.

I'll have to find stronger anchors for those boards in the future.

For a house that was effectively submerged, it looks pretty good.

Those 1x2 boards bound up that you see on the front porch were stacked on top of the lumber in the garage.

A view from Kimberly's driveway in the direction of the water. The surge came at the camera from this angle. Devastation, devastation, devastation.
