A Lunar Eclipse

November 19, 2021

Early this morning was the longest lunar eclipse in 580 years.  It was awesome!  I'm far from a professional photographer, but I have a camera with a 40x optical zoom lens, so with a tripod I was able to get some not-too-blurry shots.  What a great way to have fun at 3:00 in the morning!  Enjoy it with us…

It was a very full Beaver Moon.  Most impressive…

More "lunacy" in the middle of the night…

Definitely a good excuse for a wee dram of Scotch around the fire pit.…

Here are the "lunatics" choosing Scotch & the eclipse instead of sleep.  The strong north wind helped keep the sky clear, and was a "cool" effect…

As the reflection of the sun started to brighten, the moon appeared to get darker…

And then, after the Scotch, it was time for bed.
